The Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre in Northallerton houses a spacious chemotherapy lounge, relaxing garden area and a Macmillan information centre as well as complementary therapy, consultation and treatment rooms.
The purpose-built £10million centre opened on the Friarage Hospital site in December 2018 and now provides more than 4,500 chemotherapy treatments a year and more than 200 outpatient appointments a week.
Having treatment and support services under one roof means that patients no longer have to walk to different parts of the hospital for cancer treatment.

A complementary therapy service is available in the centre providing a range of therapies to our patients and their carers.

There is no charge made for this service, however the ongoing funding of the service is enabled through kind charitable donations to the unit fund.
