Metered dose inhalers (MDIs) deliver inhaled medication in a fine spray (aerosol) form.
Using a spacer makes it easier to get the right amount of medication straight to your lungs, where it’s needed.
Care for your spacer
- Hand wash the spacer using washing up liquid.
- Do not to scrub inside the spacer as this may damage it.
- Leave the spacer to air- dry which reduces static and ensures the inhaled medication does not stick to the inside.
- It is ready to be used again when it is completely dry and put back together.
