There are a number of things you can do if you are concerned about safety, bullying, undermining or victimisation:
- Take note of the person, the date, the location and the nature of the incident, witnesses and action taken.
- If you wish and feel able to – speak to the person and explain why the action or situations not acceptable.
Definitions
Harassment
Unwanted conduct affecting dignity in the workplace; age, sex, gender, disability, HIV status, colour, language, religion, trade union opinion, belief, national. Social origin, marriage, pregnancy, partnership, domestic circumstances, property, birth other status or property or association with a minority
Bullying
The use of force, coercion, or threat, to abuse, dominate or intimidate.
Victimisation
Treated unfairly due to making a claim or supporting somebody speaking out
