Diabetic retinal screening service
There is an extremely rare possibility of an adverse reaction to the eye drops, this condition is called acute angle glaucoma and requires treatment.
The symptoms to look out for are:-
Continued blurred vision
Red painful eyes
Nausea and vomiting
Do not drive yourself
Drop administered: Tropicamide 1%

Driving limitation
You MUST NOT drive until your vision has returned to normal.
This may take up to four hours after the instillation of eye drops. To do so may invalidate your motor insurance cover.
Results
Results will be issued usually in 2 to 3 weeks with a copy sent to both you and your GP.
