Understanding online safety is tricky for all ages, but there are ways you can protect yourself online.
Make sure your anti-virus and firewall software is always up to date
Make sure your internet browser is always up to date
Create a strong password – avoid passwords that contain personal details about yourself (for example your child’s name or your pet’s name)
Always use different passwords for different websites
Regularly update your passwords
Never share your passwords and don’t write them down where they can be easily seen
Don’t set your browser to remember your log in details
