By rail
The James Cook University Hospital rail station is now in operation. The service, operated by Northern Rail, is on the Esk Valley line that connects Middlesbrough and Whitby, via Nunthorpe. The station is on the east side of the site and is a five to ten minute walk from the hospital’s South and Bridge entrances.
