Occupational Therapy
Material: Fabric or Neoprene splints with metal bar inserts.
Purpose: To prevent wrist movement at night. Aims to reduce symptoms and provide pain relief.
Wearing instructions
To be worn only overnight for …………………………. weeks.
Care of your splint
Remove metal bar inserts first. Hand wash fabric part in warm, soapy water and allow to dry. Do not tumble dry.
Please check for:
- Pressure areas or soreness of skin
- Increase in pain or discomfort or worsening of symptoms
- No improvement in condition after ……………………………… weeks.
- Allergic reaction such as raised, itchy, red rash.
In the event of any of the above, discontinue wearing and contact the therapist on the details below.
