Sitting in a chair, bend the affected knee as directed by your physiotherapist (Fig A).
Try to pull against the opposite fixed leg (Fig B).
- The leg will not move and you should feel the muscle at the back of the thigh tighten.
- Change the angle of the exercised knee as directed by your physiotherapist.
