No sound
- Make sure battery drawer is closed.
- Check the battery is not dead.
- Check the battery is the right way round.
- Check that the tube/holes are clear of wax and debris. You can remove the tube from the hearing aid to check this, if the hearing aid whistles once the tube is removed there is a blockage. The tube will need replacing; you can do this yourself or attend your most convenient aftercare service.
- Check that the microphones or filters are not dirty/blocked.
Quieter than normal
- Check the hearing aid is inserting correctly.
- Check that the tube/holes are clear of wax and debris. You can remove the tube from the hearing aid to check this, if the hearing aid whistles once the tube is removed there is a blockage. The tube will need replacing; you can do this yourself or attend your most convenient aftercare service.

- Have your ears checked for excessive wax.
Whistling or feedback
- Make sure hearing aid is inserted properly.
- Have your ears checked for excessive wax.
- Check the hearing aid or tubing has no breaks or cracks.
- If there are no obvious faults with the hearing aid and your ears are clear of wax please attend your most convenient aftercare service.
Distorted/unclear
- Check the battery is not low.
- If the hearing aid is damaged or does not fit properly attend your most convenient aftercare service.
