National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidance suggests you/your child must be offered a minimum of four appointments with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
The dietitian and specialist nurse will offer additional appointments for carbohydrate counting, dietary advice or to further your education.
The specialist nurse will offer additional appointments if your HbA1c is above 69mmol/mol.
