The Local Offer is a new way of giving children and young people up to the age of 25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and their parents or carers information about what activities and support are available in the area where they live.
Each local authority is required by Government to have a Local Offer and make sure it is available for everyone to see.
The Local Offer provides information on what services children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies, including education, health and social care.
This gives people more more choice, and therefore more control, over what support is right for each child and young person.
