Working alongside other professionals, such as consultants, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, the medical psychology team consider all aspects of an individual’s care to help people adjust to life with their medical difficulties, to improve wellbeing and to assist people in living a fulfilling life
We see both inpatients and outpatients following a referral from their specialist team.
The department is involved in research projects within the trust and local universities, and take an active part in the teaching and training of other health professionals and trainee applied psychologists.
