Oncology and haematology dietitians
We are here to support people living with cancer. Having cancer and going through the associated treatments (radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery), can interfere with your ability to eat and drink, as well as digest and absorb food; all of which can increase your nutritional requirements.
We work alongside your oncologists, surgeons, clinical specialist nurses and other health professionals, to help you maintain your nutritional status and weight.

The team
We are a team of dietitians that see patients across the radiotherapy unit, chemotherapy day unit and inpatient setting at The James Cook University Hospital. We have dietitians specialised in head and neck, UGI, haematology and general oncology.
When are we available?
We are available Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
If you feel you would benefit from the input of a dietitian, please discuss this with your doctor or specialist nurse who can make a referral to our service.
