Bikes for staff
Bikes for staff allows employees to take advantage of the government’s tax free ‘cycle to work’ initiative. This allows for you to be provided with a bike of your choice from your employer through easy monthly payroll reductions while saving up to 47% on the cost.
Through this method, you do not have to pay income tax, national insurance and NHS pension contributions on the value of the bicycle.
Bicycle lockers and compound
We have bicycle lockers to use (with £25 full refundable deposit required) and a cycle compound which is free to use.
Any employee who has a bicycle locker or uses the compound on a regular basis may apply for the following:
- Winter cyclist parking scheme – this entitles you to one free booklet of parking permits to use during December, January and February. These permits are for use in non-barrier staff car parks or Prissick only.
- Cyclist parking scheme – this entitles you to purchase a maximum of two booklets of parking permits to use throughout the year. These permits are for use in non-barrier staff car parks or Prissick only.
Application forms for these schemes can be accessed by searching ‘cycling’ on the staff intranet.
